Twitter In 30 Minutes: How to connect with interesting people, write great tweets, and find information that's relevant to you. - Ian Lamont The full-length title had me a bit more hopeful than the reality of this. This book covers what the summary states. Nothing more and nothing less. If you have never used twitter but want to and you are not very internet site savvy then this might help you.

Honestly, most of this twitter steps you through for you. Things like explaining how you need an email to create and account and hope you click the "sign up" bottom often had me feeling like this guide is for those who rarely use the internet. If you are reading this review and/or got his eBook of this I would assume you already know how to sign up and join most basic sites.

So there was a lot of generic information like how to upload a profile photo, how to enter words into the search box, what a follower is, etc. Almost everything this book covers is common sense that applies to many other sites as well.

What I did like was the covering of hashtags. Those can be more confusing. For one new to those, this can help. Also the explanation of Twitter's lists. I have yet to look into them one way or another so that is the one area I learned something new. Still I would have been overall happier if this had gone just a bit deeper into ideas and possibilities unique to Twitter.

I realize this was meant to be a short, quick read but I felt me intelligence was being insulted in many ways. Almost everything in this book is stuff you can learn while actually signing up with Twitter. For starting up it is very step-by-step. And by the time you finished reading this book, you could already have hands on learning to nearly the same level by just checking out the site.

I got this while it was on a free day on Amazon. Sadly that is not the norm. If this books was perma-free I would feel like putting the book together is a kind thing to do, but to charge money for this seems a bit much. Everything in this book can be found for free by just taking some time to learn.
