Crimson Spell, Vol. 1

Crimson Spell, Vol. 1 - Ayano Yamane This was okay. Okay, lets be honest, if not for the lovely artwork this would have been 2 stars...

The plot and character development need a lot of work. I could not get a sense of identity off anyone. Havi seems interesting enough to try to continue but otherwise I was a bit frustrated and overall bored. I can't even add anything that the summary does not say really.

Now the artwork is amazing! Especially when Vald (not sure why summary calls him Bald-it is Vald inside the volume) goes to his beast side. LOVE his markings! For a manga character, he is hot to look at in this form!

Sadly, hot guys are not enough. There are a couple decent moments so that I am willing to give volume 2 a chance for reading but it is not a priority series for myself. I am hoping that this was just to set some character intros but overall there is a lot of room for development.

***Please note this is YAOI. M/M, Boys love, whatever you want to call it. Havi and Vald hook up. In mature, adult ways. NOT for younger readers!***
